What is a Brow Lift?
The eyebrows are an important aesthetic structure on our face. Located above the eyes, they have indispensable importance as they directly reflect your mood to the outside world along with your gaze. With advancing age, tissues relax and the eyebrows begin to sag due to the effects of gravity. Differences in eyebrow shape give a person an angry, harsh, tired, sad, old, or lacking confidence expression. The brow lift procedure eliminates the negative expression caused by eyebrow position, providing a more vibrant, younger, and more confident aesthetic appearance. Different alternatives are available to bring the eyebrows to their ideal measurements.
Brow Lift with Botox
It is very effective in certain patient groups. We achieve excellent results especially in patients in their 20s and 30s who do not have excessive drooping. Its advantages include not requiring anesthesia, being performed on an outpatient basis in office conditions, and not requiring a recovery period. The disadvantage is that it needs to be repeated every 4-6 months.
Brow Lift with Thread Suspension
Thread suspension of the eyebrows is a method performed under local anesthesia. Through 1 cm incisions made within the scalp, the eyebrows are fixed to the desired position using non-absorbable or slowly absorbable suture threads. The advantage is its quick application under local anesthesia. However, the disadvantage is that the suspended eyebrows return to a position close to their original state within 1-2 years. Particularly in patients who undergo thread suspension, I prefer to combine it with Botox to extend the time it takes for the eyebrows to return to their original position.
Endoscopic Brow Lift
Endoscopic brow lift is a procedure performed under general anesthesia. Through incisions made within the scalp in the temple area, the tissues in this region are released and the eyebrows are moved to the desired position and lifted upward. The duration of effect remains permanent longer than other methods. There is a suture line within the scalp that is not visible from the outside. You can usually be discharged the same day or the day after. Swelling and bruising may occur in the early period.
